Belated a happy new year, everyone! I hope you all had wonderful holidays, and wish you another joyful, healthful year!
It has been almost 2 months since I wrote our blog last. Some highlights during our bscence were....
1. Our friend Debra came from San Diego over Thanksgiving holidays: We went to one of our Ethiopean friend's house for Thanksgiving dinner, baked Jewish dessert (called Kugel) together, etc. We miss you, Auntie Debra!
2. We moved in our house right after Thanksgiving weekend
3. Misha and I went to Japan 5 days after the move: will post another one for this - we both suffered severe jet-lag both going home and coming back, and Misha was sick 1st week and I got really bad cold (when was the last time I got this bad - I cannot even remember!). But of course, we had a wonderful time with family and friends and I ate lots of lots of Japanese food.... well, who else can enjoy eating more than pregnant women, especially around holiday seasons?

4. Christmas Break - we were both off from work for about 10 days. Excellent timing to catch up with unpacking and shopping for the new house. Temesgen and I also had some "dates" while Misha was at daycare - had weekday lunch at a hotel restaurant and went out for a movie (Denzel Washington's "Great Debator" - well worth watching, everyone)
5. New Year's Party at home - I cooked traditional Japanese new year's meal for the party and we enjoyed with 20+ friends.
and this week we had first snow in Alabama in 15 years!! [Pic on the top]
Today is the beginning of my 36th week of pregnancy - officially the baby #2 can come anytime! I am just praying really hard that she does not decide to come out until February 5th, when my brother comes from Japan to help us for a while... Work has been very busy ever since I came back, and I just want to enjoy this precious time with Temesgen and Misha - she will never be 'the only child' in her life again. And of course, I need to sleep and take rest as much as I can before that chaotic life starts again!
But I know for sure - having siblings is probably one of the best things we could do for Misha and the baby #2 will bring joy to our lives. I just hope quick and easy delivery this time - I do not want to go through the whole nine yard again, ending up with C-section. Now I have Misha to take care of.... I cannot imagine how sad she will be, not only am I busy nursing the 2nd but also cannot hold and play with her because of C-section. Well well... we can only pray.
