Misha's 2nd birthday - Terrible 2 or Tender 2!?!

Misha had her 2nd birthday last week. Is this a beginning of Terrible 2 or Tender 2!?! We shall see....

I know one thing for sure though. She is ready to take off on her own! (well, at least that is what she thinks) A couple of weeks ago, while Temesgen was alone and cleaning the bathroom, Misha quietly opened the front door (unlocked but completely closed), went outside, met some people on the nearby road, ran back home, and shut the door as it was before. The people who saw Misha one the road came over and told Temesgen what they had seen.... with one of the Temesgen's sandals in their hand! (Misha wore it when she went out but lost on the way back since she was in a hurry)

We felt so irreponsible... but I am so glad that nothing happened to her. Of course, the front door has been locked at any time since then and the door knob has a child-safety kit on it.

And now Misha is in Germany with Temesgen to celebrate his Godfather's 87th birthday. Although Misha has already traveled to Japan 3 times with me, it is the very 1st father-daughter international trip. I spoke with Temesgen 3 times on the phone, and he said everything is going well and Misha has been a good girl. But he also told me that Misha wakes up at 1am, pokes Temesgen's eyes so that he will also wake up, then sleep again around 4am! Well well... be prepared for the Baby #2, Dad! I look forward to more stories from them - they will be back tomorrow night.

ミーシャ、ついに「魔の2歳」突入である。お誕生日当日はテメスゲンの学会と重なってしまったので、お誕生日当日はお祝いできなかったのだが、まだ自分で理解してないのでテメスゲンが罪悪感を感じる必要もなく（本人は気にしていたけど）、後日パーティーを開く計画である。ミーシャは日本からの「寿司おもちゃセット」に上機嫌。早速食べていた（食べれないって！）。

そしてお誕生日翌日から、パパ・テメスゲンと初めての父娘旅行。ドイツへ5日間空の旅である。テメスゲンが10代前半からお世話になっているゴッド・ファーザー（映画じゃないよ）の87歳のお誕生日を祝うのが目的。私も何度か会ったことがあるのだが、オランダ人で今は奥さんと共にドイツに住んでる元ジャーナリスト。日本へも東京オリンピックの頃２回きたことがあり、高齢ながらとっても茶目っ気のある「素敵な紳士」である。この春に軽度の心臓発作を起こしたこともあり、電話や手紙でも少し寂しそうだったので、私のビザを待つより、テメスゲンとミーシャだけでも、ということで決行に至った。ドイツ到着後、電話で何回か話したのだが、時差ぼけ以外は「おじいちゃん」達にかわいがられてうまくやっているようだ。ひとまず安心。明日の夜帰ってくるので、旅行話を聞くのがほんとに楽しみ。次回はパパ・テメスゲンにブログを更新してもらいましょう。皆さんもお楽しみに。
