Local Kids 地元の子供達

　Misha and Liya with local kids in Awassa, who lived across from our hotel. Note that these kids go to school (speak English - see video below) and wear shoes. アワサで最初に泊まったホテルのお向かいに住んでいた子供達と。 During our neighborhood walk in Awassa, Liya could not resist going to the elementary school all by herself. She did not want to leave! 私達の手を振りほどいて、小学校に一人で駆け込んでいったリヤ。学校や、子供達の集まっているところ大好き！ Anywhere we go, children gather around us, sometimes running from far-away. My name became "You" and nickname was "China." It is utter curiosity - Temesgen said "just ignore it" but smile is free, isn't it? I might be the first Japanese (or Chinese, does not matter) in their lives! Leave positive impression - they might study in Japan one day, or marry Japanese! Kids have full of potentials.　どこにいっても、You、You　（ユー、ユー）と呼ばれ、チャイナ（中国人）とも呼ばれ、ちょっと一人にしておいてもらいたい気分だったけれど、まあ、みんなはじめて見るアジア人かもしれないから仕方ないか。この写真は、アワサからテメスゲンのご両親が住む村の近くまでいく4時間のオフ・ロード（未舗装）ドライブの途中。写真後ろに見えるように、アワサを含め、このあたりはリフト・バレーとよばれ、地殻活動があるそうです。ケニアでマサイマラ国立公園に行くときにリフト・バレーの観測所を通ったのを思い出した。もう何年前だっけ・・・14年!?!　あ、白髪が出てきたわけだね（笑）。
