Road Trip to Orlando： 女3人1800キロの旅

この夏、仕事に没頭したいと前々から言っていたテメスゲンを家に置き（畑のお守りも兼ねる）、子供達と3人で元同僚のDr.チャンが住むフロリダ州オーランドへ車で遊びに行ってきた。ホテルが多数並んだデイトナ・ビーチから少し南下。静かな浜辺で子供達と夕方の一時を過ごす。
Leaving Papa Temesgen at home in Auburn, I drove to Orland to visit my friend, a former intern at our clinic, with the Girls (total mileage of the trip: 1122 miles).

Enjoying Dim Sum with Dr.Chan　中国人とナイジェリア人のハーフであるチャンとは、昔から点心を一緒に食べようという計画があり、今回ようやく実現。おいしかったー。

[Orlando Science Center] Misha The Mechanic!　同じくサイエンス・センターの乗り物関連コーナーで、車の修理に熱中するミーシャ。彼女は、何かを直す、とか、組み立てる、となると集中度が増す。

　[Wekiwa Spring State Park] そして帰る当日は、朝から泉の湧き出る州立公園で泳いで、子供達のエネルギーを発散させる。おかげで後者席は帰路、比較的静かでした（我ながら素晴しい計画：笑）。来年こそは、子供達2人を連れて一人で日本に帰れるかな？

Quite a few people asked if I took them to the Micky land - the answer is no. I just thought it would be really nice to enjoy what Orlando can offer without visiting commercialized theme parks. I believe having fun does not have to come with a price tag - it was all about having a good time with good friend over good food (even better!) while appreciating nature. We wished Temesgen had been with us; however, sometimes we gotta do what we gotta do, like people say in America. He would have enjoyed the Science Center though - we need to plan a next visit soon!
