Homecoming

Homecoming became one of the seasonal events after having moved to Alabama. Homecoming weekend is set for the 1st weekend for both Tuskegee University and Auburn University; however, since we live in Auburn and football traffic is a complete craze in the South, we usually joins a homecoming tailgate event hosted by Agriculture Department of Auburn University. The event is called Ag Round Up: Taste of Alabama, which marked 30th anniversary this year.

Adults pay $5 for entrance and children 6 and under are free. It has a lots of local exhibitors, including Alabamian food industries giving samples (yum!),inflatables, and it even had a milking cow, goat and sheep this year! It is a great way to learn about the state we live in and appreciate all what it can offer. And oh my, they had the best fried catfish!

November makes our official 4th anniversary moving into Alabama. Yes, it took quite a bit of adjustment in the beginning (a very long 1st year....), but I think it was one of the the wisest decisions we made. We look forward to more chapters to come...

Corn Dog:
Corsages made by foresty association

and THE BEST FRIED CATFISH! I am not a big fan of catfish, but oh my... this catfish completely blew me away!
The secret.... lies in the spice, they said. Maybe we should all try it! But wait a minute - doesn't it say Louisiana!?! Oh well..... we are all South!

Upon leaving, we saw the Auburn University's stadium filled with orange and blue (AU's school color). , This stadium actually holds more people than Auburn's population. Since Auburn football team is doing so well this season, we are expecting more craze until the season is over..... as an Auburn resident, I should wrap up this column with my fist in the air "WAR EAGLE!"
