First Sick Day in 2011

ミーシャとリヤが週末から熱でダウン。今週末はマーティン・ルーサー・キング牧師記念日（1月第3月曜日）で3連休。今日から仕事のはずが、リヤまで熱を出したので病欠、朝は病院に連れて行き、午後は半日家で事務仕事をしました。今は調子がよさそうなので、明日はデイケアにいけるかな？
The Girls are down with fever. Misha had 'night fever', which means it only appears toward the end of the day, not during the day, for the last few days, and Liya became febrile Sunday night. We went to the pediatric office today: ears checked, lungs checked, and flu test checked (negative). Doctor (one of our mommies group members) was very nice and thorough, and said it is most likely viral and she is still suspicious about some type of flu. They are both vaccinated in November, but she (dr) said one strain of flu virus has been active for those who have been vaccinated. So..... the plan is to recheck on Thursday if fever does not resolve. They are both completely off the fever meds and look fine.... hopefully, they can go back to daycare tomorrow(24 hours stay-away is mandatory after fever).

Luckily I was off Outpatient duty, which I love but is very inflexible time wise, and was able to reschedule my dental patient and elective class. Whew... this, unexpected sick day, is definitely one of the most challenging moments for work-at-work parents.

And what are the Girls doing now!?! Throwing toys to each other!! Gotta go!! They must be feeling well... indeed very well.
